Johann Christian Bach
Harpsichord Concerto, W C73
The youngest of Bach’s eleven sons (and the eighteenth of his twenty-one children), Johann Christian Bach (1735–1782) established himself as a composer in London, where he became known as the “London Bach.” J.C. Bach is best known for the influence of his keyboard concertos, which inspired Haydn and Mozart and paved the way for the great concertos of the 19th century.
