YOSL supports numerous after-school music programs throughout the New York City area by offering coaching sessions with OSL musicians, ensemble workshops, and professional development sessions for teachers. Each year, these programs bring their students together for a city-wide concert.
In the long term, YOSL will expand to include all orchestral instruments and will develop into a city-wide youth orchestra based at OSL’s home, The DiMenna Center for Classical Music. The orchestra will be made up of students in all OSL instrumental-coaching programs as well as other after-school music programs.
