Goldbergs Transformed

Bach at Home 2020 juxtaposes two contrasting versions of Bach’s iconic Goldberg Variations: Pierre Hantaï reprises his performance of the complete, original Goldberg Variations from the 2019 OSL Bach Festival with five selections that encapsulate the whole of the work, and OSL performs Principal Conductor Bernard Labadie’s 2000 arrangement of the Goldberg Variations for Baroque ensemble, which had its U.S. premiere last year at Carnegie Hall as part of the OSL Bach Festival.
