Brandenburgs

The New York Times has praised Taylor’s work as possessing “downright beautiful moments in an increasingly dark world.”

Set to music of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos No. 3 and No. 6.

Paul Taylor described his Brandenburgs as being “about gallantry.“ Driven by Bach’s musical score, the work taps into the dancer’s stamina and athleticism, yielding moments of utter joy. A perennial audience favorite, Orchestra of St. Luke’s has performed this work in partnership with Paul Taylor Dance Company regularly at Lincoln Center, as well as in Neidorff-Karpati Hall as part of the inaugural OSL Bach Festival.
