Jeffrey Wang, Violin, a native New Yorker, received his AB from Dartmouth College after 4 years at the Juilliard School Pre-College Division. Jeffrey is co-founder and artistic director of the Highline Chamber Ensemble and violinist for the Highline String Quartet, which collectively engages in over 90 performances a year. His primary teachers have been Margaret Pardee, Lu Si- Qing, and Anthony Princiotti. Through his different musical activities in chamber music, orchestral-playing, and music advocate and educator, Jeffrey has shared stages all over the country with the likes of Joshua Bell, Yo-Yo Ma, Lou Reed, Stevie Wonder, The Roots, Janelle Monet, and Ben E. King. As an educator, Jeffrey has directed the Mount Carmel-Holy Rosary School Violin Ensemble since 2009, and is pursuing a Master of Arts. in Music and Music Education from Teachers College at Columbia University. Jeffrey is pleased to be joining the YOSL faculty as the Tutti Ensembles instructor.
