Renée Fleming

Renée Fleming sings on the stages of the world’s greatest opera houses and concert halls. Honored with four GRAMMY awards and the National Medal of Arts, she has performed for occasions from the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony to the Super Bowl. This fall, Renée will appear in the Metropolitan Opera’s world premiere staging of The Hours, a new opera based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel and award-winning film. A leading advocate for research at the intersection of arts, health, and neuroscience, Renée has given presentations with scientists and practitioners in more than 50 cities around the world. She is an Artistic Advisor to the Kennedy Center, Co-director of Aspen Opera Theater and VocalArts, and Advisor for Special Projects at LA Opera. Renée also leads SongStudio at Carnegie Hall. Her awards include the Fulbright Lifetime Achievement Medal, Germany’s Cross of the Order of Merit, and France’s Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur.
