St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble

St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble was founded in 1974 when a group of virtuoso musicians began performing chamber music together at The Church of St. Luke in the Fields in New York City’s Greenwich Village. Today, its 24 members form the artistic core of Orchestra of St. Luke’s, shaping the orchestra’s distinct sound and collaborative spirit. Each season, the Ensemble takes center stage in a dedicated chamber music series that balances beloved masterworks with rarely heard gems, offering audiences a rich and intimate concert experience. Beyond these programs, the musicians of St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble appear throughout nearly every OSL performance, bringing versatility, artistry, and a deep sense of ensemble to the orchestra’s work across the season.
