Planned Giving – The Lockwood Society

The Lockwood Society

Named in honor of Marianne Lockwood, Orchestra of St. Luke’s founding President and Executive Director, the Lockwood Society recognizes individuals who have chosen to include OSL in their estate plans as an expression of their enduring commitment to our future.

In appreciation of their commitment, Lockwood Society members are recognized in OSL publications and on our website and are invited to special events each season.

Your Legacy, Orchestra of St. Luke’s Future

By incorporating Orchestra of St. Luke’s into your estate plan, you can help ensure that future generations experience the transformative power of live classical music. A planned gift allows you to create a lasting legacy while supporting OSL’s artistic excellence, education programs, and community engagement for years to come.

Because there are many giving options available—some of which may offer significant tax advantages for you and your loved ones—we encourage you to consult your attorney or financial advisor to determine the arrangement that best meets your needs.

Ways to Give

Bequests
A bequest is one of the simplest ways to make a lasting impact. You may designate a gift of cash, securities, real estate, or other assets through your will or living trust.

Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust can provide income to you or your loved ones for a specified period of time, with the remaining assets ultimately benefiting OSL.

Charitable Lead Trust
A charitable lead trust provides income to OSL for a designated period, after which the remaining assets are transferred to your beneficiaries. This arrangement may help reduce gift and estate taxes.

Retirement Assets
Naming OSL as a beneficiary of your retirement account can be a tax-efficient way to support the organization while potentially reducing the tax burden on your heirs.

Life Insurance
You may designate OSL as a beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy or transfer ownership of a policy to OSL, potentially providing charitable tax benefits while creating a meaningful future gift.

For Professional Advisors
We welcome the opportunity to work with you and your clients to identify the planned giving option that best aligns with their charitable objectives.
