Our annual Gift of Music Gala recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the world of music. This year, David Hyde Pierce returns as host, and we hope you will join us as we celebrate with cocktails, dinner, a fabulous concert, and waltzing—an OSL tradition!
This year, we honor philanthropists Lois Chiles and her late husband Richard Gilder, and MacArthur “Genius” Award recipient and frequent OSL collaborator, pianist Jeremy Denk. Through their vision, creativity, and generosity, our honorees have inspired our community, fueled curiosity, and made the world more beautiful.
The Plaza’s elegant ballroom is the venue for this event, which will feature dazzling performances by Orchestra of St. Luke’s led by Principal Conductor Bernard Labadie with cellist Sterling Elliott, whose career is rising meteorically. Acclaimed for his stellar stage presence and joyous musicianship, Sterling is a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and the winner of the Senior Division of the 2019 National Sphinx Competition. It will be an unforgettable evening in support of a great cause: OSL’s artistic and education programs that reach tens of thousands each year.
