Resident Choreographer Lauren Lovette’s newest work Echo choreographed for the men of Taylor, with costumes by Zac Posen and lighting by Jim Ingalls, set to the mesmerizing sounds of Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Kevin Puts’ Contact, which will be performed live on stage by the illustrious Grammy Award-winning trio, Time for Three.
A captivating addition to the Taylor Company’s repertoire, Ulysses Dove’s Vespers showcases the bold choreographic brilliance of Dove and the extraordinary talent of the phenomenal Taylor women. Drawing inspiration from Dove’s cherished memories of his grandmother’s place of worship, this dramatic work unfolds with raw energy and profound grace, leaving audiences in awe of the dancers’ athleticism and emotive power.
Taylor’s sizzling Piazzolla Caldera is a passionate and athletic modern dance inspired by the tango music of Argentine musician Astor Piazzolla and Polish-Jewish musician Jerzy Peterburshsky. Without using a single tango step, Taylor captures several facets of this complex social dance – a space where working-class men and women come together looking for intimate connection through passion and lust.
