Nobuyuki Tsujii Performs Chopin

Daniele Rustioni, Principal Guest Conductor of the Metropolitan Opera, leads Orchestra of St. Luke’s in a wide-ranging program that moves from Busoni’s lively Comedy Overture to Dvořák’s intensely expressive Symphony No. 7. Between them, Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, joint Gold Medal winner of the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist, performs Chopin’s lyrical Piano Concerto No. 2. The Observer has called Tsujii’s playing “a definition of virtuosity,” while The Guardian has praised Rustioni’s “immaculate sense of pace, tension and drama.”
